2026-07-22 21:31:54 +03:00 | -30 commits to main since this releaseThe v3 build — the monitor now tracks usage for three AI providers and re-themes itself to each brand. Switch the active provider from the watch or the desktop panel. Works on every supported board — the square ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-2.16 (the original), the 2.06 watch, the 1.8, and the C6 2.16.
What's new since v2.0-beta.2
- Multi-provider usage — track your rate-limit % (5 h + weekly windows) for Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and z.ai (GLM Coding Plan), not just Claude.
- Switch providers anywhere — a new Provider screen on the watch (tap Switch) and a Providers tab in the desktop panel. The UI re-themes to the active brand live (Claude clay, Codex green, z.ai blue).
- No extra setup for Codex — reads your local Codex install (
~/.codex) directly: a live usage endpoint with a local-snapshot fallback. No key needed. - z.ai via a pasted key — enable z.ai in the Providers tab and paste your GLM Coding Plan API key; usage comes from z.ai's quota endpoint (a status call — it doesn't spend your prompt quota).
- Config auto-migrates — your v2 settings carry over untouched.
- Everything from v2 is still here (Home Assistant control, tilt-dimmer, battery screen, Now Playing, the desktop settings panel).
Windows app — download & run (no Python required)
- Pair the watch once: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Add device → "Clawdmeter".
- Sign in to Gitea, then download
Clawdmeter.exe— direct link (use this, not the asset button, which may send you to an internal address):
https://gitea.bvrdo.online/wenil/clawdmeter/releases/download/v3.0-beta.1/Clawdmeter.exe - Double-click it. A tray icon appears; the watch updates within ~10 s. Left-click the icon → Settings opens the panel — the new Providers tab is where you enable Codex / z.ai and choose which one shows on the watch.
- Right-click → Start at login to launch it automatically.
Everything is bundled (its own Python, the WinRT BLE stack, the media reader, the WebView2 panel) — no install, no
pip. Logs to%LOCALAPPDATA%\Clawdmeter\daemon.log.Unsigned build — Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run ("More info → Run anyway"). Code-signing is planned.
Firmware — build & flash for your board
The
.exeabove is the same for every board; build the watch firmware for your specific board. With PlatformIO installed:git clone -b v3-dev https://gitea.bvrdo.online/wenil/clawdmeter.git cd clawdmeter # square 2.16 (original): pio run -d firmware -e waveshare_amoled_216 -t upload --upload-port COM5 # 2.06 watch: pio run -d firmware -e waveshare_amoled_206 -t upload --upload-port COM5 # 1.8: pio run -d firmware -e waveshare_amoled_18 -t upload --upload-port COM5 # C6 2.16: pio run -d firmware -e waveshare_amoled_216_c6 -t upload --upload-port COM5Use your device's COM port. On Windows, set
$env:PYTHONIOENCODING="utf-8"first (avoids a cp1251 console hang mid-flash). Full guide: README.md · porting notes in docs/porting/.The v3 firmware is verified on the 2.06 watch; on the square 2.16 it compiles cleanly but hasn't been run on hardware yet — you're the first.
